Ok, due to some temporary insanity in my life, I didn't get around to watching last week's episode until yesterday. However, I was rather curious as to why we never saw any part of Desmond's little vision this week. My theory is that there's a twist to it. I mean, we're all set up to see Charlie flip a switch and then drown. But of course, since Lost likes to keep us on our toes, this can't be what happens.
I'm guessing what Desmond saw was the switch being flipped, followed by Charlie drowning. The twist I think will be that Desmond never actually saw that it was Charlie who flipped the switch, but only assumed it was him since he saw Charlie drown immediately after. My guess is that the one who will have to flip the switch is Desmond himself, and that by flipping that switch he will cause Charlie to drown. He may even have to flip the switch to save his own life.
Also, in keeping with my theory of stations corresponding to constellations, the Looking Glass could correspond to Lepus (the hare) or possibly Reticulum (the reticle/crosshair).
